Episode Overview

Upon discovering that his sister-in-law holds the majority of shares in the Mont Royal mining operation, George Hazard seeks guidance from his brother Stanley, who once again chooses the honorable path. George heads back to Mont Royal with Madeline and, as the new mine owner, his first decision is to close the company store. As they work together, George and Madeline develop a deep affection for one another. However, when George finds out that Bent has kidnapped Charlie’s young son, he and Charlie embark on a mission to confront Bent. Meanwhile, back in South Carolina, George and Madeline brace themselves for an impending attack from the Klan, while Ashton returns to survey the remnants of her cherished Mont Royal.
