In the heart of La Costa, Central America, Bud Taylor, a former "Outrider" for the U.S. Government, falls victim to a staged terrorist attack. Before his death, he manages to hide his wife, Merilee, and their infant son, reaching out to American ambassador Mark Reynolds to warn him of a dangerous international conspiracy at play, insisting that no one is trustworthy. Tragically, Mark is killed before he can alert the U.S. government. Merilee realizes she holds the key to exposing the plot and reaches out to Mark's wife, renowned fashion photographer Danielle "Dani" Reynolds, revealing Mark's true identity as an undercover agent. Dani confronts Mark's superior, Henry Tower, demanding answers. Determined to find her husband's murderer, Dani teams up with Mac Harper, a former Green Beret.
