Episode Overview

The residents of Walnut Grove initially celebrate when they hear that the railroad plans to pass through their town. However, their enthusiasm quickly fades when the railroad informs several families that they need to vacate their homes. In response, the townspeople gather at the Carters’ property to make their stand. This protest causes a delay in the construction, ultimately leading the railroad to decide on an alternative path.
