Episode Overview

The new school year at Winslow High School, located just outside of Boston, is off to a chaotic start. Principal Steven Harper is constantly juggling problems, defending his staff, and trying to maintain order. Lauren Davis, the passionate head of social studies, and Harry Senate, a geology teacher with hidden troubles, find themselves in hot water after failing the school’s star running back right before a critical game against their rivals. On top of that, Lauren has received an unexpected date proposal from the aloof vice principal, while Harry faces probation for bringing a gun to class. As Harper navigates threats from the athlete’s lawyer and deals with a bully targeting a student, he also has to manage Ms. Hendricks, who left her classroom after writing a disturbing message on the chalkboard. Meanwhile, English teacher Milton Buttle has unwittingly become a sensation on student Sheryl Holt's website.
