In the dead of night, Michelangelo suddenly stirs from a troubling nightmare. Struggling to grasp its content, he turns to Splinter for help, who uses hypnotism to guide him. Under the trance, Mikey vividly relives the moment when he and his brothers tumbled into the sewer, splashing into the toxic green sludge. Amidst this memory, he notices a tiny lizard navigating through the murky ooze.
