Now single again, Henry contemplates his lineage and commands a new Act of Parliament to reinstate the succession rights of his daughters, Princesses Elizabeth and Mary. Undeterred by age or past experiences, he finds himself drawn to the charming Catherine Parr, a soon-to-be widow. After the calamity of his previous marriage, he believes that a more mature partner is exactly what he requires.
