A disturbing series of incidents unfolds when a group of young friends travels to a deserted ski resort in the remote areas of Sweden. The long-shuttered Black Lake has remained untouched for years until Johan brings his friends to explore it. He envisions reviving the secluded hotel and turning it back into a lavish ski destination. However, what starts as an enjoyable exploration quickly spirals into horror as the friends encounter a string of eerie and unexplainable occurrences. They soon learn the true reason behind Black Lake's abandonment, and unraveling this mystery becomes a desperate struggle for survival.
