Cycling has become a popular pastime worldwide, including in Brokenwood. When Lester Nyman, a MAMIL (Middle Aged Man In Lycra), triumphantly reaches the summit of a nearby mountain after an intense ride, his sudden heart attack initially appears to be just a tragic accident. However, Gina uncovers that his toxicology report reveals dangerously high caffeine levels, prompting Mike to investigate further into the circumstances surrounding Lester's death.
