Mulder is summoned to a tense hostage crisis involving Duane Barry, a former FBI agent who insists he has been abducted by aliens. In a desperate bid to return to the site of his abduction, he demands to take someone along—not for himself, but for the experience. To Mulder's alarm, the person he selects is Scully.
