Episode Overview

Kevin heads to Brighton to meet a collective of ten young families—former travellers and single parents among them—who are constructing homes for themselves and each other. The land was bought from the council by a housing association for £58,000, and Paul helped the association assemble this co-operative from people on the council's waiting list. Each family commits to 30 hours of construction work weekly, making this a true joint effort.
