Episode Overview

On his deathbed, Father Rodriguez reveals a significant secret to Esteban, who he has cared for since infancy: his father might still be alive. Motivated by this revelation, Esteban sets off to find him in the New World. Teaming up with Mendoza, a mysterious figure who claims to have saved him as a child, Esteban sneaks aboard the Esperanza as a stowaway. Just before the ship departs, he encounters a young Inca girl named Zia, who becomes a crucial part of his journey.
