On Christmas morning, a couple is discovered dead in their home, leaving behind only a solitary palm print. Detectives pour their efforts into identifying a suspect linked to the print. Just when the investigation seems to hit a standstill, a letter arrives from a prison inmate, redirecting the course of the case in an unforeseen way.
