Following Xena's demise, Gabrielle steps into the role of Queen of the Amazons. Meanwhile, Autolycus becomes a vessel for Xena's spirit, who requires ambrosia to return to life. However, both Xena's resurrection and Gabrielle's future are endangered by an ambitious Amazon determined to claim both the crown and the ambrosia for herself.
