Episode Overview
The Emperor sends his treacherous favorite, Kao Chiu, to the sacred mountain to rid China of the malevolent force causing a devastating plague. While there, Kao Chiu stumbles upon an ancient temple, its entrance barred by a decree from a former emperor. Inside lies a pit thought to harbor the souls of ninety rebellious knights. These souls have since reemerged across China as heroes ready to challenge the empire's corruption. One such hero could be Lin Chung, a valiant officer in the imperial army. Yet, Kao Chiu schemes to tarnish Lin Chung's reputation and have him expelled in disgrace.
