Episode Overview
In an unexpected turn of events, the heroes find themselves imprisoned by Team Magma, where they confront their leader, Maxie. He reveals his ambitions, while Shelly from Team Aqua manages to release Kyogre and informs her own leader. Amid the chaos, Pikachu inadvertently takes the Blue Orb, which merges with him. As the heroes attempt to flee, Ash is caught, and Team Aqua's leader begins to wield control over Kyogre. Just when all seems lost, an old acquaintance of Ash and Brock comes to their aid.
