Plot

Einar and Kasparas, brothers bound by blood yet divided by temperament, lived on opposite banks of the same river. Years had passed without a single word exchanged between them, though their homes stood within sight of each other. Each day, they observed one another from a distance—noting when smoke curled from the chimney, when lamps flickered out for the night, when routines unfolded like clockwork. Their lives ran parallel, close enough to witness every detail, yet separated by an unspoken chasm neither seemed willing to cross.
