Shanghai Blues (1984)
Plot
During a 1937 air raid over Shanghai, a soldier and a young woman share an awkward, fleeting encounter in the shadows beneath a bridge. A decade later, he’s returned, now a struggling songwriter and tuba player in a marching band, haunted by the memory of his mystery match. Unbeknownst to them, they’ve landed in the same apartment building. When he mistakes her naive new roommate for his long-lost flame, a chaotic love triangle of mistaken identity and comic mishaps begins to unfold.
