Plot
Three years after moving in with Kjell Bjarne from the Brøynes institution, Elling now lives alone. Kjell Bjarne has moved upstairs to live with Reidun and her daughter Mojo. Feeling like an outsider, Elling withdraws further, baffled by how easily others fit in. Eventually, Kjell Bjarne steps in. Despite protests, Elling emerges clean, rested, and well-dressed—happier, too. He knows something's missing, and one evening he finds the woman who can fill the void. He'll do anything to win her trust. But when invited to dinner at her place, things don't go as planned.
