Plot
In 1954, nestled in a tiny Colombian mountain town, 11-year-old Alfonso faces a harsh reality. With his mother gone and no relatives to turn to, he must abandon his classroom to earn his keep. He starts as a messenger at the local pharmacy, where he absorbs the fundamentals of medicine.
