The House of Sand (2005)
Plot
In 1910, a woman follows her husband with her mother to a remote desert outpost, leaving behind the life she knew. When he dies, she finds herself stranded in that barren landscape, with no way back. For the next fifty-nine years, she clings to the desperate hope of fleeing, each attempt swallowed by the vast, unyielding sands that have become her prison.
