Mayoori, known to Tamil audiences as Shalini, was a South Indian actress and model whose career spanned Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Born in 1977, she made her acting debut as a child artist in the 1988 Malayalam film *Oru CBI Diary Kurippu*, where she played a minor role. Her breakthrough came in the early 1990s, notably with the Tamil film *Pudhu Vasantham* (1990), which showcased her versatility and earned her recognition. She went on to work in several notable projects, including the Malayalam films *Sundari* (1990) and *Avan Ananthapadmanabhan* (1991), and the Tamil hits *Muthal Seethanam* (1992) and *Pattukottai Periyappa* (1994). Her performance in *Pudhu Vasantham* remains a highlight, as it established her as a promising talent in the industry. Mayoori also featured in the 1993 Malayalam film *Sakshal Sreeman Chathunni*, further cementing her presence.
