From his early years in Ascot, Berkshire, Ben Probert was drawn to both creative expression and practical skill. Growing up with two brothers and a younger sister, he attended Charters School in Sunningdale, where Drama and Art became his focus. After graduating in 2004, he worked in catering before earning a place in an apprenticeship program, eventually qualifying as an electrician with a degree in Electrotechnical Technology.
Yet filmmaking remained his true calling. Alongside his brother Josh and friend Josh Reeve, he co-founded Full House Productions, writing and producing short films, sketches, and a web series that earned front-page coverage in the Bracknell News.
In 2011, filmmaker Luke Tedder cast Ben as Jason in *For My Brother*, leading to a lead role in *Faux Pas*. The following year, Ben produced and starred in *Toxicity*, a post-apocalyptic drama selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner. He soon joined L&A Pictures (later Landa Pictures) in a production role.
By 2015, Ben had appeared in notable features including *The Monuments Men*, *Powder Room*, and *A Royal Night Out*. His work with Landa Pictures grew to include 11 short films and two web series. In 2016, he co-produced the company’s first feature, *Precognition*, playing Hunter; the film premiered at Sci-Fi London and Other Worlds Austin before streaming on Amazon Prime and YouTube.
From 2019 to 2022, Landa Pictures produced *A Universe Apart*, a sci-fi feature now in post-production. During the pandemic, Ben wrote and directed *Self-Isolation*, winning multiple festival awards including Best Film and Best Acting Duo with his brother.
In 2024, he landed the lead in Landa Pictures’ third feature, *The Caretaker*, set for festival release in 2025. Across acting, writing, directing, and producing
